BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
Oh, man. Talk about a bit of a let down... "An ambitious young executive is sent to retrieve his company's CEO from an idyllic but mysterious "wellness center" at a remote location in the Swiss Alps, but soon suspects that the spa's treatments are not what they seem."
I had such high hopes with this film, after seeing trailer after trailer when it first came out, I was in from the get go. I was even still into watching it when I saw a video about how it was so bad and did so badly, it was pulled from some cinemas. I watched and heard this and still wanted to see it. Can you imagine my excitement when I realised it was on Netflix and I could finally see it!? I almost weed myself from excitement...and then I actually watched it. All 2 and a half hours of it.
As mentioned before, I had heard how A Cure for Wellness did so badly at the cinema, it was pulled from some, and how I feel about it, I can understand why. It's just not that interesting a film, and I hate putting down a film as I know how much blood, sweat and tears goes into it - but I just did not like this film. I just couldn't get into it. I liked the idea and the concept of it, a hospital that no one ever leaves - great. The actual film, no.
Parts of it, I liked, I feel if I said them though, they would count as spoilers, so I can't but there are sections that are creepy as hell. Especially a pipe and a throat, that's all I shall say.
I just really could not get into this. I liked the idea and I liked sections of it that were pretty creepy - but the rest just seemed a bit confused and not really sure what or where it wanted to go. It had potential but didn't really go with it - good effects though.
Watching horror films since like 2003, when I could stand dead bodies..
