BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
I adore Alien, and I enjoy Aliens almost just as much, and I have seen the newer Alien films, so I thought, bugger it, I'll give this a go. Had heard bad things about it though, I thought some of it was said by my dad, but he didn't think he'd even seen it... "200 years after her death, Ellen Ripley is revived as a powerful human/alien hybrid clone who must continue her battle against the aliens. Along with a crew of space pirates, Ripley must also prevent the deadly aliens from reaching Earth."
Alien Resurrection has good points and bad points, for an apparently bad film, it has some good points. One good point, the cast and characters, good mixture of both. And the characters cover pretty much every character you might have wanted. None of them you really dislike unless you are meant to, as in, they are a baddy...
Another good point, (see this little shit sandwich I am building here...?), is that they had a good reason for why Ripley is in it again, after her sad demise at the end of the last one.
Onto the bad notes... This film is kind of slow, like very slow at points. And the fact that you saw the Alien straight away, and they made one bigger too, which did not look as good as the normal Alien, and I like the look of the aliens.
They also may have, (I'm saying "may have" because no idea if it's a spoiler or not..), had another very different type of alien/creature that was fun but I didn't really feel added to anything. Not going to complain though, love a good creature even if it was not really that needed.
Onto the last part of this shit sandwich, something good, the gore is good, and I did like the story. The gore wasn't that original but enjoyable and the story is just fun and one you can get your teeth into.
Alien Resurrection is nothing on the first two, especially the first one, but it's still kind of fun and will pass the time... If not make you laugh a little on it's 90s ness...
Watching horror films since like 2003, when I could stand dead bodies..
