BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
My rule of films, and TV and anything like that really, is to never listen to reviews, take it as an opinion, but never let it stop you from watching and enjoying something. Like Fear Inc, this film does not have the best reviews and it is only about 5.5 on IMDB...fun news though... IT IS ONE OF THE BEST HORRORS I HAVE SEEN RECENTLY. "A horror junkie and his friends sign up with a company that brings their customer's greatest fears to life."
I saw the trailer for this during the week, having never heard of it before, and I was so damn into the trailer. It had everything I looked for in a horror film, well, that's what I got from the trailer anyway. I was excited, it was top of my list to watch straight away, this unknown film had given me such high hopes and I was excited... Did it do itself proud and impress me, or did it fall short?
IT DID NOT FALL SHORT ONE BIT. Can you see much love and excitement this film gives me by how many capslocks I use in this review?! If that doesn't make you want to see this film already, you will by the end, because I have hardly anything bad to say about it at all. Hardly anything.
As this going to be a review with not a lot of bad in it, my favourite ones, I shall say the two bad points to this film as that's all I have; 1. Some of it was a little bit far fetched, I can't say what it is as it will give it away, but one scene near the end mainly. It is a horror film though, I know that, so take this lightly, as I know that in most horrors the villain catches up with the running victims while walking... That is the small down side to this film. The second is the main one... and the 2. This film is not long enough! I needed more. Sequel please?
Now I have the bad things over and done with, I can now just go down the happy path of just praising the film and everyone involved as this is what this film deserves.
I was entertained the whole way through, I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through, I was into the characters and really did care for them - especially Joe, I saw myself in him with our matching love of horrors and both being horror buffs. I especially loved the story and the twists, damn those twists. You think you've worked it out, but nah, you aren't even close. Some will think they have worked it out, but nope.
Fear Inc is just an unknown little gem, it's underrated and unappreciated. Do not listen to the reviews and watch this for yourself. Hands down one of the best horrors I have seen recently - bravo to you!
In another thought, I shall never use anything like Fear Inc in real life and I shall stick to my horror films and haunted houses for my scares, thank you very much!
Watching horror films since like 2003, when I could stand dead bodies..
