Funhouse Massacre

I saw the trailer for this online, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to see it!  "Six of the world's scariest psychopaths escape from a local Asylum and proceed to unleash terror on the unsuspecting crowd of a Halloween Funhouse, whose themed mazes are inspired by their various reigns of terror."  The concept of this film sounds so damn corny and crap, and that is why I was so down to watch it - thank you Netflix, you hero!

Funhouse Massacre is definitely as you'd expect it, it's corny, gory and the characters are not the smartest - have they never seen Scream and know that you don't have sex in a horror film?!
Just the whole idea of killers killing people off in a haunted house and those type of attractions is brilliant - so damn good.  Majority of the beginning of the film consists of the characters saying "damn, doesn't that look real" and the irony was, most of it by that point, was real.  Damn, bet there would be a few serial killers watching this wishing they had thought of it - could literally get away with murder...  Bit like Halloween really, so much blood and so many costumes...  Not that I often think about when the best time for a murder to be is.

The gore in this film also made me happy, it's that type of gore that is over the top and doesn't always look the best - but you know it doesn't take itself too seriously.  I loved the gore, it seemed like they wanted to come up with the most ridiculous deaths with the most blood, and just shoved it in.  Each and every kill is pretty bloody, it never ceases to keep me happy with the blood and the guts - let me tell you that.

I would happily watch Funhouse Massacre again, happily, it's not going to win any awards and isn't even that well known - but it never makes you feel like it's something it's not.  You know from the start it's a bad movie, or one that knows it's not that good, but the idea of it is just a dream.  The killers are all individuals and kind of like similar knock offs of the ghosts out of Thirteen Ghosts, just less serious and not dead - but you get my point.
You should for sure watch this, it's a fun horror film, with blood and a few laughs here and there, and it'll pass the time.  Nice and simple.
