BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
Another late night Horror Channel movie, one that was included in their 'Slasher Season' - I was kind of excited. I love bad slasher films. 'A young college student desperate for tuition money moves into a house that streams content to an X-rated website. After a deranged fan determines the house's location, she finds herself in a terrifying fight for her life.' And this one did not let me down.
Girl House has it all with what a person looks for in a slasher film. Boobs, gore, deaths, bad acting, and more boobs. I don't watch it for the boobs, just FYI, but they do tend to come under the cliches of slasher films - and I am sure some watch them for boobies..
Even though it is full of cliches, it is actually a fairly enjoyable film, and did keep me watching. It's not one of those really corny films that you just can't stand to watch anymore, this is a corny film that has been made to be watched, a bit. Some might want to have it on in the background..
Which I used to do, until I decided I need to pay more attention, so my reviews would be more in depth...
You can pretty much see where this film is going and how it will end when you watch it, it follows the exact same storyline as most things and the same characters and the same villian. It has no twists and you can see the ending coming a mile away, but it's not horrible.
I think that might be in a way how much you see the film knows it's not a mastepiece, it won't win any awards, yet, it's not shot horribly and it doesn't look cheap. It's actually quite a well put together movie for a typical slasher film. Some films are just unwatchable, they are just that bad, but this, it's not a masterpiece and mentioned above, but it's fun and it keeps you going.
Girl House is simple and fun. It has no twists, it has all the slasher cliches and you will see the whole movie and characters coming - but after watching it you won't feel you've lost hours you won't ever get back. If you have a spare few hours, go for it, but I wouldn't say make time for it. It's good but not mind blowing - sorry Girl House.
Watching horror films since like 2003, when I could stand dead bodies..
