BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS

Hell House LLC

Hell House LLC has been on my watch list for the longest time - honestly.  I read an article, (good old Buzzfeed), on how people thought it was genuinely one of the scariest films they have ever seen - obviously, hopes were not high in that department, but I was intrigued.  I thought I'd give it a go.  "Five years after an unexplained malfunction causes the death of 15 tour-goers and staff on the opening night of a Halloween haunted house tour, a documentary crew travels back to the scene of the tragedy to find out what really happened. "

I am going to get down to business here, I liked Hell House LLC, I enjoyed Hell House LLC, but did it scare me, nope.  I did like the story of it, set in a house made out like a scare attraction, but with something lurking inside... OOOOOOOOOOH.  Honestly, I was into it.  The characters are not the most likeable characters, none of them you really care about, and most are dumb in someways - "let's go and see what that noise was" dumb.  But hey, that's what made it fun!  One of them hears a noise and decides to stay in the house, a ghost appears, and I cheer due to seeing the ghost - best time of my life.

Hell House LLC was pretty good at tension, I'll give it that, but it wasn't particularly scary, I was very much able to sleep after watching it with no lights on, but I did jump at least once, and the masks throughout it - I wouldn't have wanted to bump into in a dark alley.  I feel like the actual house itself, or set, should I say, was lacking in scares.  The house was made to look like a scare attraction, but looked like it was decorated with spider webs most people would have in their lofts.  Saying that though, I'd still go, I love a good scare attraction, and I do get that the characters were just starting out and probably had a low budget, so I'll give them that.
I am also seeing a theme with this review and my Bad Match review, the twist in both films.  Hell House LLC had a pretty clever and well done twist too, and, like Bad Match, I saw it coming right at the last minute, which still allowed me to "No! What?! Wait!", which is one of my favourite things to do...  I did thoroughly enjoy it.

Overall, Hell House LLC, you did well.  Not really scary, but I found you very entertaining and I did very much enjoy watching you - now, I see you have sequels...
