BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
I am a huge fan of Stephen King - huge fan - but damn, some of his stuff is weird. Cue, In the Tall Grass... "A brother and sister enter a field of tall grass to rescue a boy, but they soon realize they cannot escape and something evil lurks in the grass."
I feel with In the Tall Grass, you don't get what you are expecting, mainly due to the fact that you have no idea what you are in for! This might be a bit of a tricky review to do as I am not sure what is a spoiler in this film, and what isn't. So be warned, this might be a short little review compared to my normal one...
I was so damn intrigued by this, so intrigued by this, I mean, the storyline itself is basically people stuck in some grass... I really wondered where it would go and how someone made a film of people being stuck in some grass.
Without giving too much away, In The Tall Grass really does give me a Triangle feel- the film I mean, not the shape. But again, I don't want to say too much due to spoilers!
To be safe, I am only saying things that are included in the short information section above from IMDB. I liked the fact that it is a cat and mouse film, but set in a completely different place to what you'd normally expect. But it does get super duper weird - like really weird, so weird that for some of it you have no idea where it is all going to end. Well, I felt like that anyway.
I didn't mind it as a whole - I didn't love it but I wouldn't say I hated it. I probably wouldn't be off recommending it to anyone unless they were looking for something this weird or something to do with Stephen King or Joe Hill, but again, did not hate it.
PS, film is on Netflix, book is below.
Watching horror films since like 2003, when I could stand dead bodies..
