BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS

So, I am a fan of the old one, especially Church... And it turns out, I am also a fan of the new one... "Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home."
I think that everyone pretty much knew that they changed a big part of the film compared to the new one, so I don't feel it is a spoiler, so I shall say it, if you don't want to know, skip this high lighted part - I didn't mind the change. I didn't really think changing which child was killed made a huge impact in the film, but I did think having the older child die made it a little bit more realistic. I say realistic, it's like my thoughts on the original Child's Play, I never really liked that film as I always found it funny that no one could ever fight Chucky off, even though all he was was a plastic doll. In the original Pet Sematary, Gabe is killed and he is a small child, a toddler, and yet, he ends up killing people. In the newer one, Ellie dies, and she is older and bigger and it feels more likely that she could maybe kill people more than a toddler. Just my thoughts. I feel this helped me get into the new one more - it kind of could be more possible - even though I know it is all fiction... I didn't mind the new one much at all. I had heard mixed things, mainly bad things, but I feel that is mainly due to the fact that it is a remake - I really don't mind remakes though! Sometimes they can add things to the film that weren't able to be added when it was first made. I didn't feel this one was much better than the first, but that doesn't mean I hated it, I just liked them both the same in a way. Both have their pros and cons - con of the new one was Zelda was not as scary... She honestly creeped me out the first time and for her not to be as creepy in the new one was a bit sad. The new one still has its moments though, pretty good jump scares - shout out to you dumb waiter - and a change of cat. (I like looking at cats - not a fan of them dead though...). I did like the new one, the main thing I didn't really like was the twist ending, which, like normal, I won't say. I mean right at the end, I didn't see the point really and I didn't see where it would go. Obviously, you'll probably never know as it is right at the end, and you don't need to be thinking what happens after a film ends, but still, it makes you think. My recommendation for these films? Just watch them both!
