BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
Y'know people are all about The Conjuring films and the Insidious films? I'm all about the Sinister films... Finally got around to watching the second one after how ever long I have waited for it. "A young mother and her twin sons move into a rural house that's marked for death."
I was not disappointed with this film in the slightest, I preferred the first one, I have to admit, but this one was still just lots of fun to watch and easily passed the time. Thing was though, this film seems confused in itself, it seems to be set years ago, like years ago, buttttt, everyone has phones and they go to a supermarket... I feel I missed a part with why it was like this, but it is super weird. Not a bad weird but weird.
The story is the same sort of story as the first, obviously, but it does add a few extras, such as a problem with an angry ex husband and a new lover...
I have mentioned before about things that I hate in horror movies, and one certain thing is in this film... I hate kids in horror films and this one does not disappoint in those terms. There are two young boys in this, and one is a complete and utter arse, if you can be an arse as a child... One of the brothers is the 'chosen' evil one in this, and he makes the other brothers live hell, and then, following the whole Sinister theme, turns on the mum and dad too. He's a dick. He's a brat, like such a brat, not only is he swearing at his mum, he also wants to kill them. Make him sit right on the naughty step and never let him up.
I liked this film, but, in the least weirdest way I can say, I especially love watching the very original little home movies throughout the film, aka, the parts where you see the family die. I said I meant it in the least weirdest way! It's interesting! And each one is original and tends to be gory. Great fun!
Sinister 2 is a film I would watch again, I would prefer the first one but I still wouldn't kick this one out of bed for farting - it is no Ethan Hawke though...
Watching horror films since like 2003, when I could stand dead bodies..
