BEWARE THE MOON REVIEWS
![]() To sum Welcome Home up, it's pretty much a little known film, I had never heard of it, but with a pretty known cast. Saying that though, it's not all that shabby. "A couple's attempt at reconciling their relationship at a rental house in Italy is interrupted by the owner's evil plans." I loved the idea of this, it sounded really cat and mouse-ish and I was so into that. So much into it that I spent about an hour watching it at the gym, and then came home and watched the rest. It's one of those that starts out with a friendly neighbour, who one of the couple likes, and one hates. I would like to think if it was me, and I was in a couple, (boo me), I would be Aaron Paul in this, who really is not keen on the friendly neighbour. He's pretty much on the ball, apart from a few little tits up moments, but 70% of the time, he's good. ![]() Welcome Home is genuinely quite good at the tension, it's a slow burn, but it keeps building and building. Building from the neighbour, Federico, being all nice, to just kind of weird. It feels a bit like film The Gift. It's the same kind of storyline, just with a few more changes throughout it. I feel Welcome Home had a better ending. I was spinning with a lot of the twists, you think it's all over, but it just keeps throwing twists at you - it's great. One of the twists, I have to say, was a bit flat and did just seem to end - but no, it went somwhere else and my mind was changed, I was back into it. I actually did really like Welcome Home, but for some reason I don't have much to say about it. I'm more than mellow about it, but I just don't have much to pick - maybe because I don't want to spoil any of the twists and they do seem to pop up throughout it. Maybe just watch it...?
