Deep Blue Sea 2

Did you know there was a second Deep Blue Sea?  Yeah, most didn't either, you're not alone.  "A shark conservationist is hired as a consultant on a top-secret project on genetically-enhanced sharks, funded by a pharmaceutical billionaire. But soon the highly intelligent super-sharks turn on their masters and begin to pick them off one by one."

Before I put this on, I warned my parents that it was straight to DVD and I feel I am glad I did, this is a bit of a stinker...  I love the first one, it is my all time favourite shark film, and I will pretty much watch any shark film as I love sharks - but this one is something else.
It is still kind of fun, I mean, what do you expect from the sequel to Deep Blue Sea 2, but it is kind of slow.  So slow that dad actually nodded off a few times during it...  I would also like to say that it is a slow burner, but it really isn't, it's just entertaining in its own little way.

What I did like about Deep Blue Sea 2 though, was the fact they used different sharks, Bull Sharks are the main villains in this, which is nice to give Great White and Makos a rest.  Bull Sharks are the most dangerous sharks, and these aren't just normal, oh no, they are much much smarter.  Yep, no one took any advice from the first film about making smart animals, like sharks, and making them even smarter and changing their DNA - doesn't it just sound so smart.  They also still used the same pool in the ground technique that Samuel L Jackson lost his arm in in the first one... again, very smart.
One question though...  SINCE WHEN DID SHARKS ROAR?!

Yeahhhhh, if you want a shark film to watch, watch Deep Blue Sea, unless you are really curious or have nothing else, then do this one...

The deep blue sea is something that used to terrify me so much. There are people who are not too afraid of them, but I am not one of them. In the past, I was just too afraid to even approach the sea, I feel like there are all sorts of monsters lurking in there. Maybe it was just my age and immaturity back then, but I am okay with it now. I hope that you also get past your fear of the sea.
