Doghouse

When the mother is out at her Christmas do, the daughter and dad will watch horror films. One and a half to be sure. Doghouse is about a group of friends, who go to a small town in England, to help one of them get over a divorce, with the help of strippers or such. That is not what they get, in anyway. I love this film, I had watched it before and as soon as I saw it was on TV, I had to TiVo it for my parents - or rather my dad at this time.

My dad was actually very very pleasantly surprised by this film, he was pretty happy watching it though as soon as he saw the cast. The cast including Noel Clarke, Stephen Graham and his new favourite since watching Who Do You Think You Are, Danny Dyer; a very good cast all round.
And it shows, this is a good film, it never really stops being good - it's an all round good British film. From the start, you fall in love with the characters, each one is developed well, and each on is put in the doghouse, all for different reasons. Damn, us women. Well, all the men come together and leave, heading towards a little village in the middle of nowhere, where women, apparently, outnumber men by a lot. But nope, all goes tits up, and not in the good way/route with tits that horror movies normally take.

Doghouse is just an all round good film, its just enjoyable really. One that you can watch, turn your brain off, and actually laugh, not like snort air out of your nose quicker, actually laugh out loud. But of course it would be, the cast is good, I mean, did I mention Danny Dyer was in it? Who does not like Danny Dyer? Just everything he says in this screams Doghouse. And Noel Clarke, I loved him since he was in Doctor Who and got swallowed by the bin... And I also loved how all the zombies are us women. Because, yes, we can be scary. And some of the zombies, from a woman's point of view, are sexy, just look at the wife zombie, she has a short little dress and stockings on, that's how I would want to go as a zombie. As hot as an undead woman can be. So, you know, people might feel a bit sadder about killing undead me.

Doghouse is a thrill. If you haven't seen it, see it. Unless you only really like really really serious movies - if you do, you might not like this... But I would still say try it, never know. You might want to be a sexy zombie too... Oh, and there is drag, who doesn't love drag?!

I have seen this movie before and I can say that it is really worth watching. The combination of comedy and horror made it interesting and fun to watch. It is great because there are plot twists that would indeed surprise you. And I would like to agree with you that some of the zombies were really sexy. It would be a hard decision if you are going to kill them or not. I would definitely watch this again soon.
